OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - The Oklahoma House has passed a bill extending a tax incentive to some pipeline, securities and telecommunications companies.
The bill passed Tuesday on a 70-25 vote. The House and Senate must now work out a compromise because of House changes to the Senate version.
The bill modifies the Oklahoma Quality Jobs Program that provides tax incentives to several industries if they operate in the state and meet minimum salary and other requirements. The incentive is calculated based on the companies' wages.

Monday's explosions in Boston have led to heightened security elsewhere, with New York, Washington and Los Angeles among the cities taking action within hours of the blasts.
"We're stepping up security at hotels and other prominent locations in the city through deployment of the NYPD's critical response vehicles until more about the explosion is learned," Paul J. Browne, the deputy commissioner of the New York Police Department, .
NORMAN, Okla. (AP) - Forecasters have issued a tornado watch for portions of Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas and say more storms are possible later in the week.
The Storm Prediction Center said conditions make tornadoes, high winds and hail possible through Monday night in an area from west of Dallas into northwestern Arkansas, including much of eastern Oklahoma.

He also won third at NCAA, and made it to the Olympic trials his senior year. Sitting down in Luke Bryant’s bedroom where dozens of trophies line the walls and shelves, said he first picked up the discus almost by accident.
The explosions happened in quick succession four hours after the beginning of the race, the world's oldest and one of the most prestigious road races in the world. At that point, the majority of 27,000 runners had crossed the finish line. Thousands, however, were still out on the course.
