About KGOU
KGOU Radio is a full service public radio station, licensed to the University of Oklahoma. The station serves the greater Oklahoma City metropolitan area with a news/talk/jazz format, utilizing programs from NPR, PRI and others.
The staff of KGOU includes 9 full-time and 5 part-time employees. The station moved to new studios in the fall of 2006, and completed the move into new administrative offices in the fall of 2007. In the immediate future, KGOU plans to continue to expand its signal coverage area, providing public radio service to more Oklahomans.
KGOU Radio originates from studios located on the campus of the University of Oklahoma and is delivered by two transmitters and two translators to more than one million citizens in central and southeastern Oklahoma.
