OSU Cooperative Extension Service is cultivating community composting through the new volunteer Extension Master Composter Volunteer Program. Program orientation will be held on January 31st, 2017 and will meet the last Tuesday of every month for the entire year. The fee is $50.00 and the willingness to give 20 hours of service . The training will take an in depth look at the science behind composting and share the benefits of home composting for environmental and household sustainability. There will also be real-world experiences utilizing various methods of composting throughout the year.
