Sponsors: Oklahoma Contemporary, Scissortail Community Development Corporation and Oklahoma Latino Cultural Center Oklahoma Contemporary is proud to partner with Scissortail CDC and Oklahoma Latino Cultural Center to be one of the hosts of the Anita Martinez Mariachi Festival. The 2018 festival will include workshops, performances and a visual arts exhibition in the Oklahoma Contemporary galleries. The final event on Feb. 10 will include a mariachi-themed Make + Take for the whole family and a celebration of all the student artists in the exhibition. Schedule of Events Friday, Feb. 2 – Saturday, Feb. 10 Corazón: Student Art Exhibit | Free In partnership with Scissortail CDC and Oklahoma Latino Cultural Center we are hosting a visual arts exhibition with works by Oklahoma City students. Friday, Feb. 2 5:30 p.m. Mariachi Master Class | Free Mariachi Campanas de America will teach a master class, free for seasoned musicians who have an interest in the mariachi style. 6:30 p.m. Student Mariachi Performances | Free Join us Friday, Feb. 2 for performances showcasing the talent of Oklahoma City youth. The participating students have been learning about culturally relevant art during in-school after school programs provided by Academia OKC, a program of Scissortail CDC.
