Event Description

Some Rules and Rhetoric of Tenth Circuit Advocacy event will be held on Tuesday, February 13th from 2:00pm-4:00pm at Oklahoma City University School of Law. Registration is open until Wednesday, February 7th. Tickets are free for students and 10th Circuit judges and clerks and $20 for general admission. Attendees will receive two (2) hours of CLE credit from the Oklahoma Bar Association. Presenting the event is Betsy Shumaker, Clerk of the Court of Tenth Circuit Court Appeals, and Robert Henry, President and CEO of Oklahoma City University. The goal of the presentation is to educate attendees about the challenges and complications that come along with appellate law. Shumaker and Henry will explore tools used in effective advocacy, including the future of electronic filing, reviewing legal briefs, and tips in preparing for persuasive oral arguments.
