KROU 105.7 FM Transmitter Fund
This is a dedicated capital campaign specifically for replacement of KGOU's Oklahoma County transmitter (105.7 FM, licensed as KROU). We estimate the transmitter and related equipment will cost at least $90,000.
KGOU expanded service to Oklahoma County in 1993 when KROU signed on the air, greatly increasing the broadcast service area. The transmitter is now 24 years old, nearing the end of its lifespan. The antenna was replaced in 2011.
We've named this campaign Karen's Legacy, a fundraising effort retired General Manager Karen Holp initiated.
