 Part 1 Part 2 Part 3
Four of the six candidates vying to be Oklahoma's next governor met for a forum June 16 at Oklahoma City University. Oklahoma Voices: State Question 744
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3
There are several state questions voters will decide in November, but one has drawn the opposition of state legislative leaders and candidates for governor. That is State Question 744, also called the HOPE Initiative Petition. HOPE stands for Helping Oklahoma Public Education. The ballot proposal is supported by the Oklahoma Education Association. Last September, a legislative interim study heard from supporters of State Question 744 and state agency officials on what the effect of passage would be if they had to cut their budgets. You can also see an on-screen presentation from the state Dept. of Human Services.
