You may get a phone call if you have not already donated to the capital campaign. If you would like to help us reach the goal, you may use our online pledge form or bring your donation to our offices before 5 p.m. on Monday, June 23 (to give us time to process it by the end of the month).

Highlights from the Networks:

Fear of Exposure Leads to
Compromises in Myanmar
In the wake of last month's destructive cyclone in Myanmar, an NPR reporter filed stories anonymously for his own safety. In this audio postcard, NPR's Senior Asia Correspondent Michael Sullivan reveals some of the challenges of reporting from a country in which a climate of fear dictates some difficult choices for reporters – and anyone who comes into contact with them.

Can 'Blue Zones' Help Turn Back the Biological Clock?
photo by Cheryl TiegsSardinian sheepherders, Japanese grandmothers and Seventh-Day Adventists in Los Angeles don't seem to have that much in common. But within these groups there are some of the longest-lived people in the world. Author Dan Buettner has traveled the globe visiting these "Blue Zones," where people tend to live longer and lead healthier lives. Hear the story from Weekend Edition on Sunday, June 8, and read an excerpt from his book at NPR.org.

Sedaris Bares Body and Soul in Engulfed
David SedarisPopular author David Sedaris has never been shy about sharing his most embarrassing moments, and his sixth collection of essays, When You Are Engulfed in Flames, is no exception. Whether he's lancing boils, getting crabs from second-hand pants or sitting in a hospital waiting room dressed only in his underwear, Sedaris relates his most cringe-worthy misadventures. Read an excerpt and listen to his June 9 conversation with Terry Gross on Fresh Air at NPR.org.
