New Way to Support KGOU
KGOU is now an affiliate of the NPR Shop program! Whenever someone makes a purchase from the NPR Shop link on the KGOU website, KGOU will receive a percentage of the proceeds. So whether you're shopping for yourself or another NPR fan you know, your purchase of apparel, books, or even radios can help KGOU too!

Capital Campaign Gets Boost from Challenge Grant
Thanks to everyone who has donated to KGOU's Expanding Horizons Capital Campaign over the past fiscal year, the entire $150,000 challenge grant from the Ethics and Excellence in Journalism Foundation has been matched! Earlier this year, a challenge grant from the Kerr Foundation was also successfully matched. Thank you, Donors and Foundations !
We're still computing the figures, but we know about $450,000 has been pledged to the capital campaign so far. Once all the capital pledges are paid, KGOU will have raised more than half of the cost of the project. Approximately $400,000 is still needed in order to repay our loan from the university by the end of FY2016.

We are so appreciative of the new studios and equipment – they are utilized every single day, allowing us to do more for our listeners. Thank you!

The Surprising Truth About 'Dirty Money'
John BurnettNine months of reporting on "dirty money" — money seized from suspected drug traffickers — leads NPR reporter John Burnett to the conclusion that you often find what you weren't looking for when digging into a story. "One of the things I love about journalism," says Burnett, "is when I begin an investigation with one idea and finish with something completely different. That's what happened with Dirty Money." He filed this Reporter's Notebook on his series, available in the NPR audio archives.
