Program Chronicles Oklahoma Rock and Roll
photo courtesy Steve RipleyKGOU brings you a very special limited-run weekly program, Oklahoma Rock and Roll with Steve Ripley, Saturdays at 4 p.m. throughout the summer and fall.

Hosted by The Tractors' singer-songwriter-guitarist-producer Steve Ripley, the program takes listeners to the roots of today's Rock sounds. Many of those roots were embedded in Oklahoma, from the music of Charlie Christian and Lowell Fulson, to Wanda Jackson and Conway Twitty, to J.J. Cale and Leon Russell. There's more about the program on our Programming page.

Goal Within Reach as Fiscal Year Ends
KGOU's fiscal year is winding down this month; at last tally, we have received about 97 percent of our $557,000 total fundraising goal for FY 2009, with just over $15,000 to go.

Actually, members and underwriters have already pledged enough to cover that amount, and if those outstanding pledges were to come in within the next couple of weeks, we would already be there!

Whether you want to begin your KGOU membership, or want to renew or make an additional gift, you can always use our online pledge form. Your donation by Wednesday, June 24 will help us reach our goal.
