The Splendid Table's Turkey Confidential Thursday, November 27, 10 a.m. - 12 noon

StoryCorps' National Day of Listening Interviews All this week on NPR newsmagazines
StoryCorps founder Dave Isay proposes a new holiday tradition – taking one hour on the day after Thanksgiving to preserve the stories of our loved ones. The complete how-to is at the National Day of Listening website. NPR hosts and correspondents got the ball rolling with their own interviews, and be sure to tune in on Thanksgiving Day to hear Dorothy Bush Koch's interview with her brother, President George W. Bush and First Lady Laura Bush.

The Impact of War – Sundays in December on Weekend Edition
Weekend Edition Sunday has been airing special monthlong series for the past several months, focusing on specific issues and topics. For December, the focus is on stories from the Impact of War series, personal stories of men, women and children on the home front who are struggling to pull their lives back together. WESun is asking listeners to post their own impact-of-war stories on the Sunday Soapbox blog, and will read from some of them as part of the series.

Through a promotion with Sony BMG Masterworks, KGOU has four copies of a new CD featuring cellist Yo-Yo Ma performing holiday classics with his favorite musicians from around the world: James Taylor, Alison Krauss, Diana Krall, Dave Brubeck, Chris Botti and others.
