The Attorney General’s Office is now conducting a review of the Workers Compensation Commission after questions were raised about its compliance with the Open Meetings Act.

According to published reports, Oklahoma County District Attorney David Prater launched an investigation July 21 of the newly created Workers Compensation Commission after questions were raised about its compliance with the Open Meetings Act.

Prater closed that investigation after meeting Friday with the Attorney General’s Office.

Aaron Cooper, director of communications for the Attorneys General Office, said in an email Monday, “Jan Preslar, chief of the general counsel unit at the AG's Office, is conducting a review of Commission's agendas and meeting records and will assist in providing additional training and advice on open meetings and open records to the Commission."
