Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin has signed into law 25 bills passed by the Legislature and vetoed one dealing with a new state income tax form donation check-off.
Fallin took the action on Friday. She has now signed 261 bills passed by the 2014 Legislature into law and vetoed 25.
The vetoed bill would have allowed taxpayers to donate all or part of their state income tax returns to a new revolving fund to help indigent domestic violence victims get legal services. Fallin's veto message says a law that went into effect in 2012 already provides for legal services benefits for domestic assault as well as sexual assault victims.
Among the signed bills is one that prohibits persons designated as habitual or aggravated sex offenders from entering a public park.
