A Halloween Revue, Norman Fall Fest And An Affair Of The Heart Fill This Week’s OneSix8

UCO Jazz Lab

Looking to make plans for the fourth weekend in October? KGOU’s OneSix8 guides you through three Autumnal events.

The UCO Jazz Lab invites you to join them for their second annual “Macabret: A Spooktacular Halloween Revue.“  This theatrical event features some of your favorite vampire, werewolf and zombie-themed tunes. Performances were apparently so scary good last year that all the shows sold out, as a result reservations are strongly recommended. The UCO Jazz Lab hosts two shows on Friday and Saturday at 6:30 and 9 p.m. and two shows on Sunday, October 26, at 5:30 and 8 p.m.

If you are still in the mood for ghosts and goblins, the Norman Arts Council presents the “Norman Fall Fest” this Friday at 6 p.m. Downtown Norman transforms into a family-friendly fright fest with trick-or-treating, games and other activities for young and old, alike. Enter the family and pets into the free costume contests at the corner of Main Street and Peters or just watch the fun with food-in-hand from one of the food truck vendors or Main Street eateries.

State Fair Park in Oklahoma City hosts “An Affair of the Heart”, from October 24-26.  The bi-annual arts and crafts fair showcases exhibitors from all across the United States. Vendors feature gourmet food, custom furniture, arts and crafts and unusual and one-of-a-kind merchandise. The purchase of a $7 ticket allows entry for all three days of event, Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
