This is from the Manager's Desk.

Last week, I had an upsetting experience – my credit card number was stolen. Thankfully, it was resolved quickly. But now with a new number, I have to reset all of my automatic charges, including the sustaining gift I make to KGOU each month.

Last week I also had to schedule our annual staff meeting to review our credit card security policies on how we protect your credit card information when you make a donation to KGOU.

And then it hit me! Of course! Our credit card security policy is detailed and precise, but we need to have that policy and live by it. We know that when you trust us to deliver high quality journalism, you also trust us to keep your credit card information safe when you make a donation.

When you donate to KGOU with a one-time gift or as a sustainer, know that we are taking every precaution with your information.

Thanks. From the Manager’s Desk, I’m Karen Holp.

Karen earned her Master (1974) and Bachelor (1972) degrees from the University of Akron in Ohio, and has worked as Program Director at WMRA-FM, James Madison University in Harrisonburg Virginia and WUIS-FM, University of Illinois at Springfield. She moved to Las Cruces, New Mexico in 1979 to become General Manager of KRWG-FM.
