Next week, Jazz in June’s annual concerts, clinics and musician jams are here in Norman. Check theJazz in June web page for more information about the concerts – from locations, times, the artistic line up and more.
Thursday June 19th kicks off with Blues artists Dirty Red and the Soul Shakers, then Samantha Fish. Friday, June 20th starts with Edmond Jazz Orchestra and then on drums and guitar, The Charlie Hunter and Scott Amendola Duo. Capping the festival on Saturday June 21st, The Boyd Street Brass, Pidgin and then folk swing jazz with Dan Hicks and His Hot Licks.
Jazz in June’s concerts are free – no tickets to purchase, but put in some money in the buckets to help fund the festival.
KGOU is a partner in the Jazz in June concerts and I’m very happy to be part of this great event.
