KGOU's Students In The Fall Semester

Mark Antonio Wright
KGOU

December 7, 2014

This is from the Manager’s Desk.

It is finals week at the University of Oklahoma and I’m proud of the students we have had working at KGOU this past semester.

Sarah Hurd has been working in the Development Department and will be away on a student abroad adventure next semester.

Hayley Thornton has been the producer of Assignment: Radio and she will be returning for her final semester at OU in January.

Mark Antonio Wright joined us mid-semester as a news host at noon and during All Things Considered, and does some production as well. He’ll be back next semester.

We had one student in the Assignment: Radio class – Sarah Hurd. You heard her stories on the air every few weeks. She also was an digital content intern with World Views.

And Matthew Percival did great work in the Practicum class – you heard him voicing calendars, but he did a lot more behind the scenes.

We enjoyed this semester with these talented students.

Thanks.

From the Manager’s Desk, I’m Karen Holp.

Karen earned her Master (1974) and Bachelor (1972) degrees from the University of Akron in Ohio, and has worked as Program Director at WMRA-FM, James Madison University in Harrisonburg Virginia and WUIS-FM, University of Illinois at Springfield. She moved to Las Cruces, New Mexico in 1979 to become General Manager of KRWG-FM.
