Next month, Oklahoma will be marking the anniversary of a series of storms that moved through our communities.  Those storms left a lot of tears behind, but also a lot of resolve to rebuild.

KGOU's Ahead of the Storm: The Oklahoma Tornado Project is partnering with Oklahoma Contemporary Arts Centerto present a curated photography exhibit dedicated to last May’s storms.

We are inviting you to submit photos for consideration that represent the storms of May 2013.  The photos certainly should include the aftermath and recovery, but I hope they will also show the spirit of Oklahomans.

Selected photos will be displayed in an exhibit at Leadership Square in downtown Oklahoma City during the month of May 2014.

Submissions are due no later is Friday, April 18 at 5 p.m.  You can mail submissions to the Oklahoma Contemporary Arts Center, or dropped off during regular business hours: Mon.-Sat., 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

For more information, call us 325-1601.
