Sarah Palin is endorsing former Oklahoma House Speaker T.W. Shannon of Lawton in his race for the U.S. Senate.
The GOP's 2008 vice presidential nominee posted her endorsement of Shannon Wednesday on her official Facebook page.
In the post, Palin described Shannon as an underdog who has overcome diversity to become a "dynamic young conservative leader."
The 36-year-old Shannon is among the Republicans seeking the U.S. Senate seat being vacated by U.S. Sen. Tom Coburn at the end of the current Congress. He will face two-term U.S. Rep. James Lankford of Edmond and former state Sen. Randy Brogdon of Owasso in the GOP primary on June 24.
A favorite of tea party conservatives, Palin has more than 4 million "Likes" on her official Facebook page.
