Support KGOU, Whad'Ya Know? and Kate Carlton Greer

KGOU

October 5, 2014

This is from the Manager’s Desk.

I have two reminders and some great news. First the reminders –

There is still time to create your sign or get one from our web pageand take a selfie to show your support for KGOU. The big moment is coming soon!

Tickets are going fast for the Michael Feldman’s Whad’Ya Know? show on October 25th. Get yours soon!

Now the great news. Because listener support has steadily has grown, KGOU now can afford to grow as well.

I’m very happy to announce that KGOU has expanded with a new full-time reporter position and Kate Carlton Greer is our newest addition to the KGOU news department.

Kate was the main reporter for the Oklahoma Tornado Project that was funded with a grant from CPB, a year-long project that just ended.

Your financial support makes a difference in the level of service KGOU provides.

Thanks!

From the Manager’s Desk, I’m Karen Holp.

Karen earned her Master (1974) and Bachelor (1972) degrees from the University of Akron in Ohio, and has worked as Program Director at WMRA-FM, James Madison University in Harrisonburg Virginia and WUIS-FM, University of Illinois at Springfield. She moved to Las Cruces, New Mexico in 1979 to become General Manager of KRWG-FM.
