January 24, 2016

This is from the Manager's Desk.

As each semester starts at the University of Oklahoma, I like to introduce the students working at KGOU. First, let me introduce our paid student staff members.

Cesia Rascon will continue as the calendar editor, and her work is reflected in the events section of the KGOU web page. Richard Bassett also continues as our digital music and production producer. We may have a few more student hires in the next weeks.

Enrolled in the Radio News class are Adam Burnett, Brian Perlman, and Luis Rendon. Their work will be heard in our program, Assignment Radio.

And in the KGOU Practicum class are Adam Burnett, Collin Gaddie, David Ransom and Patrick Smith. They will be handling a range of audio production tasks and operational details.

This is an enthusiastic group and we look forward to a great semester with them!

Thanks. From the Manager’s Desk, I’m Karen Holp.

Karen earned her Master (1974) and Bachelor (1972) degrees from the University of Akron in Ohio, and has worked as Program Director at WMRA-FM, James Madison University in Harrisonburg Virginia and WUIS-FM, University of Illinois at Springfield. She moved to Las Cruces, New Mexico in 1979 to become General Manager of KRWG-FM.
