Oklahoma health officials say two children have the state's first confirmed cases of the flu this season.

The Oklahoma State Department of Health said Thursday that two children younger than 5 have tested positive for the flu. The department said in a news release that one of the children is hospitalized, but did not release the child's condition.

The department says the child who is hospitalized is in Tulsa County and that the other child is in Oklahoma County.

The department says the two cases are the only ones of 198 flu tests that were positive for the illness. There have been no deaths as a result of the flu.
