The State Department of Environmental Quality has recently released its Water Rationing Report.

The 2014 report is not a new report but rather one that is continuously updated with the name and number of water systems who are reported to be rationing water.

There are 30 total systems listed within the report. Of those systems, 27 are currently participating in mandatory rationing and the remaining three in voluntary rationing.

To compare, last year’s Water Rationing Report only listed 26 systems, two of which were voluntarily rationing.

For example, the report for Norman says:

"All outdoor watering or irrigation is prohibited between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Mandatory odd/even water restrictions with no watering on Wednesday and Thursday of each week. Hand watering gardens, plants, or shrubs with a hose is allowed."

All systems that purchase water from Oklahoma City have instituted odd/even outdoor watering plans that are mandatory.
