Deadly tornados tore through several Oklahoma communities on May 19, 20 and 31, 2013. These are the stories of natural disaster and its aftermath, and of communities healing and recovering.

New Red Cross Resource Centers

The American Red Cross is opening of three Multi-Agency Resource Centers today in Little Axe, Shawnee and Carney.

These centers will be staffed with caseworkers from the American Red Cross and partner agencies. The Red Cross says those impacted by the storms can come to these centers and meet with all agencies to get assistance with short-term needs.

Hours for the centers will be 9a to 7p.

Little Axe: Little Axe School- 2000 168th Ave NE Norman, OK

Shawnee/Bethel Acres: Gordon Cooper Technology Center (Skylabs and Dining Facility)- 1 John C Bruton Blvd Shawnee, OK

Carney/Willston: Carney High School (Rooms 5,6,7)- 304 S. Carney Road Carney OK.

Red Cross volunteers remains on the ground in Carney, Shawnee, Bethel Acres, Little Axe and Moore. Volunteers are providing meals, water, clean-up kits and other items to neighborhoods impacted by these storms.
