Tornado Watch Issued for Parts of Oklahoma

NORMAN, Okla. (AP) - Forecasters have issued a tornado watch for portions of Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas and say more storms are possible later in the week.

The Storm Prediction Center said conditions make tornadoes, high winds and hail possible through Monday night in an area from west of Dallas into northwestern Arkansas, including much of eastern Oklahoma.

For Wednesday, forecasters are warning of a moderate risk of severe weather in the Southern Plains, saying conditions already look as though violent weather is possible. The area of ``Moderate Risk'' covers much of Oklahoma, eastern Kansas and far western Missouri.

A slight chance of severe weather is possible from the Southern Plains to the Ohio Valley on Tuesday and elsewhere in much of the Central and Southern Plains Wednesday.
